Empowering Latinx physicians, medical professionals and medical students through education, advocacy & health policy to support their efforts to eliminate health disparity, promote and optimize health and the quality of life for Latinx in California.
The Latino Physicians of California, in partnership with the California Medical Association (CMA), CMA Foundation, American Academy of Pediatrics – CA, The California Endowment and Covered California present two Southern California conferences in March 2014. The LPOC and its partners present “STAY INFORMED,” a dinner conference covering how to insure the state’s nearly 5 million uninsured individuals through federal health reform. Many people eligible for Medi-Cal, including Latinos and lower income Californians, have not enrolled. We aim to educate key communities about the benefits of the ACA and increase enrollment among the state’s total eligible but uninsured population.
