Radiological Society of North America hosted a webinar on the health disparities identified during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Entitled, “COVID-19 and Health Disparities – A Call for Action,” the webinar focused on health disparities that have been continually masked outside of pandemics such as COVID-19, identify contributing factors and discuss strategies and share sample initiatives that can be implemented by radiologists to tackle health care disparities during COVID-19.

The webinar was moderated by Carolyn Meltzer, MD, William P. Timmie Professor and Chair of Radiology & Imaging Sciences; executive associate dean of faculty academic advancement, leadership, & inclusion, Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta; and Yoshimi Anzai, MD, MPH, professor of radiology, associate chief quality officer, University of Utah, Salt Lake City.

Speaking during the webinar was Paul J. Rochon, MD, associate professor of radiology-interventional radiology, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Aurora, CO; and Dania Daye, MD, PhD, instructor of radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, Boston.
