MíMentor

Now Seeking Mentors for the MíMentor Program

There are 3 ways you can volunteer to mentor underrepresented students for MiMentor’s Medical School Readiness Cohort 2020-2021:

  1. You can be a longitudinal mentor for one student (or more if you so choose) donating at least 2 hours monthly minimum to individually and virtually mentoring a student applying to medical school in 2021.  You can mentor them virtually on the set meeting dates which will be the first Sunday of each month starting 10/4 til August of 2022 from 10:30-12:00.  If this is not convenient for you you can determine another mutually agreeable time and venue (i.e. Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, etc.,)
  2. You can volunteer to host a small breakout room of MSR students 5-8 students) between 10:30-12:00 on the first Sunday of each month starting 10/4/2020 ending 8/8/2021 to talk about any issue of your choice related to applying to medical school, reviewing personal statements for those students on the fly, or in advance, or other topics in medicine you feel relevant to this audience.
  3. You can volunteer to be a “mock interviewer” for MSR students applying to medical school during one of the 9-10 scheduled sessions on the same first Sunday of each month between 10:30-12:00 pm.
